Sven Román
Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Sven Román is a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry with extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient care in Sweden and Norway. Among other things, he has conducted medical assessments in approximately 800 neuropsychiatric investigations.
He is an active voice in public debate on healthcare in general, and psychiatry in particular. He has given lectures several times in the Swedish Parliament, as well as in Sweden and internationally, including in New York, Paris, Lisbon, and Tallinn.
Sven Román at Swedish Fascia Convention 2025
Sven Román is part of the international faculty for Swedish Fascia Convention 2025 in Uppsala. The convention brings together researchers, clinicians, movement teachers and educators across the fascia field for three days of plenary talks, panels and applied workshops focused on the living body and human fascia as a continuous communicating tissue.
The full programme runs from 13 to 15 June 2025 at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress and is built around four threads: foundational fascia science, clinical practice, movement and embodied learning, and the integration of fascia into healthcare and education. Each speaker is selected for original work that connects directly to one of these threads.
